Audrain County Team for Assistance is partially funded by the United Way of Audrain County. Funds are available to help individuals with medical needs, primarily prescriptions, but also may be used for co-pays, durable medical equipment, etc. based upon fund availability. There is a coverage maximum of $75 per individual for the calendar year.

Accepts a variety of donations that are not in need of repair; donations are not sold as a way to earn money for the program; limited pick-up service is available in Barry, Jasper, and Newton counties - contact Stephanie Brady or Jonathan Pratt - (417) 659-8086; on average, pick-up service can be arranged up to five working days after request is received.

Provide Care Coordination to older persons and their family caregivers, including assessment, care plan development, monitoring and assistance in accessing public and private services. Provide assistance with Medicare Part D and Missouri Rx application and enrollment process. Can also advocate for clients experiencing any problems with those programs.

Provides a free clothing store for those in need

Provides affordable spay/neuter services at reduced cost to pet owners.

Serves as an elementary school.

Provides assessment of individual to determine extent of disability and evaluates to determine types of work best suited to the individual.

Pregnancy testing is provided to women, program focuses on alternatives to abortion.

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for gas bill assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

Medicare is a federal medical program that provides health coverage for individuals age 65 and older or those with a disability.

Certified birth and death certificates can be obtained on a daily basis if the event happened in the State of Missouri.

Provides adolescent and adult immunizations.

Health screenings are provided for the following: Cardiovascular, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV, Diabetes, Lead, and tuberculosis. Other screenings available upon request.

Promotes life-enriching activities for families and individuals

Conducts and completes background investigations for the courts.

Represents indigent clients charged with criminal state offense carrying possible jail time penalty.

Offers gynecological exams, pregnancy tests, PAP smears, breast exams, emergency and low-cost contraceptives, STD screening and treatment, and the HPV vaccine. Specially-trained nurse practitioners and physicians provide health exams in a pleasant and confidential atmosphere.

Accepts donations of bedding/linen items.

Family-centered Services are provided to families and children in their own homes when a child abuse or neglect investigation/family assessment response determination is preponderance of evidence, unsubstantiated-preventive services indicated, or services needed. These services are also provided to families who voluntarily seek help. Family-centered Services include a range of treatment and support services and are provided, as appropriate to the case treatment plan.

Apartments for individuals with special needs such as homeless, disabled, and/or youth aged out of foster care. 3010 Apartments house 58 one-bedroom units universally designed for individuals with a variety of special needs. Each apartment features a full bathroom, kitchen, and living/dining area.

Providing a cooling site during extreme heat emergencies

Provides flu vaccinations for those in need.

Individual counseling services provided.

Provides counseling and educational services to those who have had an alcohol or drug related traffic offense.
