MO HealthNet (Medicaid) Program: Provides medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Crisis Care for Kids: Provides 24-hour emergency care for children ages 0-12 whose families are in crisis. Children receive a medical exam, developmental assessment, three meals/three snacks daily, therapeutic activities utilizing the Nurtured Heart Approach and Art and Play Therapies, Occupational Therapy, clothing, toys, books, developmentally appropriate play.

Tests water and food. Tests for lead and other hazardous materials in homes and remediates lead hazards. Also, tests foreign products for safety and conducts restaurant inspections. Also, investigates complaints about raw sewage, excessive trash, hazardous materials and hot and cold weather illnesses. Also, inspects swimming pools.

Accepts office equipment donations.

Individuals or families needing to place their child(ren) into foster care should contact the office to discuss options. Also receives and reviews applications for families who would like to adopt or foster a child(ren)

Services offered through the Senior Centers include noon-time congregate meals, home-delivered meals to surrounding communities, social, recreational, and educational activities.

School District 175 - Pre K: Offers half day pre-K classes which provides pre-academic skill development such as shape, color and number recognition, outdoor play, observation of nature and pets, dancing and rhythms, block building, playhouse activities, games, simple excursions outside the school, stories and picture books.

Program funds are used to provide food, rent or mortgage assistance. Funding is limited. Please call for additional details.

With the assistance of an integrated health specialist, adults with serious behavioral health challenges will build a wellness plan suited to their unique needs. Wellness plans may include goal-oriented skill building, employment and educational supports, linking to natural and community supports, psychiatry, counseling, primary care, and dental services.

Transitioning: The objective of the program is to move individuals from a nursing or habilitation facility to the community, identify and eliminate barriers that prevent people from being able to move to the community, improve the ability of MO Health Net to provide in-home services and to ensure that there's continuous quality improvement of in-home services provided.

Delivery of meals to frail, homebound elderly. Meals are generally frozen and 7 days of meals are delivered once a week. In some cases up to two meals per each day.

Special Education: A school program for children ages 3-21 years with developmental disability. Approved by Illinois State Board of Education and accredited by the North Central Association of colleges and school (NCA).

Utility Assistance: Provides assistance to low-income individuals for electric bill assistance. Partial payments are made to avoid utility cut-offs.

MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.
