The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

As Foster Grandparents, senior men and women volunteer as mentors and tutors to children who have exceptional and special needs. These seniors serve in childcare centers, Head Start centers, state-supported facilities, public and private schools, and home settings.

Offers broad range of information: topics include nutrition, business, personal budgeting, gardening, babysitting, 4-H youth, etc. Speakers available. If they don't have a specialist in their area, they work with other extension offices to find the program.

Basic health and disease screenings are provided to individuals for the diagnosis, prevention, and control of various diseases and conditions.

Provides grief and bereavement counseling services to families with a loved one who died while serving active duty and whose Veteran or service member was receiving Vet Center services at their time of death.
