Shelter Information Services

Provides supportive services to crime victims such as crisis intervention, criminal justice system information, case management, court advocacy, and more.

Services are offered for children and parents involved in the adoption process. These include the evaluation of the child's needs prior to placement, and arrangements for care of the child prior to the child's adoptive placement and to the approval of the adoptive family. Also, special activities are provided to help adoptive parents and children adjust to the new family situation.

Provides group counseling which focuses on interpersonal interactions, so relationship problems are addressed well in groups. The aim of group counseling is to help with solving emotional difficulties and to encourage the personal development of the participants in the group.

Provide Care Coordination to older persons and their family caregivers, including assessment, care plan development, monitoring and assistance in accessing public and private services. Provide assistance with Medicare Part D and Missouri Rx application and enrollment process. Can also advocate for clients experiencing any problems with those programs.

Provides pregnancy support, education and case management to women, teens and their family members regarding crisis or unplanned pregnancy. Services include but are not limited too referrals to medical care, mental health screenings, financial assistance, housing, parenting options, and/or adoption planning and more.

Transitional Living Group Homes: Individualized services for youth in transitional group living homes include case management, employment and educational services, medical and psychiatric treatment, family and group therapy and individual psychotherapy.

Provides free legal representation to low income clients in a number of civil legal problems; criminal defense representation is not provided; they handle cases involving public benefits, housing, unemployment compensation, family, consumer, education, employment, health and other matters.
