MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.

Administers Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds for agencies with emergency food, shelter and energy programs. The funds for this program are only available to agencies and are allocated through local community boards.

Offers complete primary care services for the entire family, services include well-woman care including pelvic/pap tests.

The Water Testing Program collects two types of water samples (bacteriological and chemical) at the request of County residents. Samples are generally requested when a well is newly constructed or when a problem with water supply is suspected such as when a change in odor or color occurs with the water.

Parents who are seeking to regain custody of their children, or who are in need of supervised visitation with their children, may access the services of the Children's Division through a court order from the county/state of the custody's jurisdiction. Visitation will be arranged per the conditions of the court order. These services are also available to families who are involved in child abuse/neglect investigations and subsequent court rulings.

Helps individuals become self-reliant, resourceful, and economically independent. Participants have the opportunity to start an escrow account and voluntarily enroll in the five year program which creates goals and a plan to become independent of government assistance.
