Every week, UCOM offers different classes to our neighbors to learn new skills for improving financial, social, and physical wellness. However, you're not just a passive recipient, but an active participant. Everyone has life experiences to share, and we find that the relationships formed in our classes often lead to further conversations and help outside of class. Even better, those who successfully complete classes can earn bonus points for use in the food pantry.

Residential treatment programs for clients with MR/DD.

This program provides and installs needed energy-saving materials in client's homes in order to save energy and reduce fuel costs. A computer assessment is made on the home to determine the weatherization needs.

Breastfeeding Peer Counselors available to provide support and information

Provides a stimulating, safe environment for adults needing supervision and care. Includes meals, activities, medical supervision, transportation, bathing and respite for caretakers.

Preventing the Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (PEACE): Offers various forms of clinical therapy for families to support them in building strong caregiver-child relationships to help protect children form the detrimental impacts of early childhood adversity.

Provides many health services, screenings and education to the public.

Operates fixed route bus service for Madison County Transit to any person who is traveling along the fixed route, destinations include shopping centers, hospitals, work site locations, etc. throughout Madison County, Illinois.

Provides a food pantry to those in need.

Providing a public library.

Breastfeeding Peer Counselors available to provide support and information

Services are offered for children and parents involved in the adoption process. These include the evaluation of the child's needs prior to placement, and arrangements for care of the child prior to the child's adoptive placement and to the approval of the adoptive family. Also, special activities are provided to help adoptive parents and children adjust to the new family situation.

"Celebrate Recovery" is a 12-step program designed to help any individual with any type of "hurt, habit, or hang-up" even if it is not drug or alcohol related.

Access/Crisis Intervention: Provide open access and 24-hour crisis hotline.

Provides partial hospitalization and outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents who experience psychiatric disorders that do not need inpatient hospitalization.

Provides diagnosis treatment for individuals who have diseases or injuries which affect internal organs such as congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, high blood pressure, and cholesterol.

JOBtrack: Provides supported employment in the community that assigns a job coach to work side-by-side with each person to interface with the employer and other employees, and provide training in basic job skills and work-related behaviors, assists with specific tasks as needed.

OAI provides various employment preparation and job training skills to eligible applicants: search/placement, on the job training, retraining, work experience, interview training, job readiness, resume preparation and prevocational training.

Operates or funds programs and facilities for the treatment of psychiatric problems, developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol abuse, etc. in Missouri.

Immunizations are given for the following diseases: Diphtheria, Pertussis/Tetanus, Td, Polio, Measles, Mumps/Rubella, HIB, Hep B, Varicella, Prevnar, Hep A, Influenza, and Meningococcal.

Assists individuals who cannot afford their prescriptions from designated pharmacies. Cannot assist with controlled substances, may be a cap per person based on available funding.

Administers WIC: Nutrition education, nutritious foods, breastfeeding support and counseling, referrals if pregnant, lactating or ages 0-5 years, call for clinic locations.
