Turning Point is a drop-in center that provides a host of services to individuals without secure shelter. Services range from bathing and laundry facilities to assistance with applications for employment, housing, education, and financial aid. Referrals are also made to other agencies in Columbia that assist with clothing, housing, mental health and other services.

• Advanced Personal Care: Assists with routine personal care of clients with ostomies (tracheostomies, gastrostomies, and colostomies.) Personal care of persons with external, in dwelling and suprapubic catheters, administration of perscribed bowel program, application of medicated (prescriptions) lotions, ointments, or dry aseptic dressings to unbroken skin including Stage 1 decubitus ulcers, application of aseptic dressings to superficial skin breaks or abrasions, manual assistance with non-injectable medications, passive range of motion and use of assistive device for transfers.

• Personal Care Services: Assists with planning, preparation and clean up of meals, making beds and changing linens, brushing, combing and shampooing cleints hair, brushing teeth and cleaning dentures, cleaning and cutting nails of clients without contradictioning conditions, assisting the client with transfers when the client is weight bearing and shopping for groceries or household items specifically required for the health and maintenance of the client.

Provides teen family planning and teen pregnancy prevention programs and birth control counseling.

Family-centered Services are provided to families and children in their own homes when a child abuse or neglect investigation/family assessment response determination is preponderance of evidence, unsubstantiated-preventive services indicated, or services needed. These services are also provided to families who voluntarily seek help. Family-centered Services include a range of treatment and support services and are provided, as appropriate to the case treatment plan.

Respite Services: Temporary care for children with disabilities to relieve stress to families. Respite services may be provided for vacation, rest, errands, family crisis or emergency.

Family Planning Clinic: Provides OB/GYN services.

Provides a food pantry assisting area residents. Only allowing one client at a time inside to shop.

Provides consulting and placement into employment for individuals and consulting and services to businesses for recruitment, screening, retention, and training of employees. Neurology services offered include treatment for back pain, brain tumors, carpal tunnel syndrome, epilepsy, headaches (tension, migraine, cluster), memory disorders, multiple sclerosis, neck pain, Parkinson's Disease, peripheral neuropathy, stroke and trigeminal neuralgia. Also, offers Nerve Conduction Velocity and Electromyography (NCV/EMG) services for referring providers to assist in the evaluation and management of entrapment neuropathies (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome), radiculopathies and peripheral neuropathies.

Scouts learn character and leadership development, life skills, career development, confidence and more while serving their community with fellow scouts.

Community Education and Outreach: Peer educators, college students and other health professional discuss human development and diversity, health sexuality and relationships, sexual health and identify community resources.

Provides information and instruction in water safety, including Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor training.
