The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.

Foster Care Case Management: Foster care case managers provide, coordinate and facilitate all services necessary to support the permanency goal for the children in care. Case managers provide for safety and needs assessments, resource acquisition transportation and visitation, court reports, and authorization of funds for services to family members.

Loans made by USDA Rural Development to low and very low income applicants to buy, build or repair homes--payments may be subsidized.

Offers parenting skills classes that cover topics such as nutrition, business, personal budgeting, gardening, babysitting, and more.

Diabetes Prevention Program: Helps participants learn about diabetes, making healthy eating choices and physical activity habits to reduce the risk type 2 diabetes.

Variety's TherHappy Kids program offers access to both in-person and virtual physical, occupational, speech, aqua, or hippotherapy sessions, providing flexibility and consistent coverage to Variety Kids, regardless of the family's ability to pay.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families: Provides benefits to families with needy children (due to death, desertion, mental, physical problems or unemployment).

Every week, UCOM offers different classes to our neighbors to learn new skills for improving financial, social, and physical wellness. However, you're not just a passive recipient, but an active participant. Everyone has life experiences to share, and we find that the relationships formed in our classes often lead to further conversations and help outside of class. Even better, those who successfully complete classes can earn bonus points for use in the food pantry.

Teaches participants pre-apprenticeship carpentry alongside journeyman carpenters to hone their skills by working on an actual worksite which is a home sold or rented to a low-income individual or family.
