Provides one-on-one personal financial counseling; works out repayment arrangements with creditors; helps clients get relief from collector phone calls, over-limit fees, and late fees with credit card companies and other unsecured debt; assists with budgeting, debt management plans and credit education; provides pre-filing bankruptcy counseling.

Offers a variety of social, cultural and recreational activities for children, youth, members and non-members. Activities includes field trips, holiday fun clubs, art classes, Teen Nights, Kid's Night Out, School's Out, sports leagues, etc.

Provides HIV testing services.

Provides a year-round, inclusion-based preschool for children with and without special needs.

Providing services and basic needs (including beds, backpacks and other items) for kinship, foster and adoptive families; as well as support for older youth ages 17-26 with foster care history. Financial assistance can be offered if clients meet eligibility.

The Missouri Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program provides assistance that helps Missouri adults get the basic skills they need to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. The major areas of support are Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, and English Language Acquisition. These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math, English language competency, and problem-solving.

SMMHC offers longer stay in patient treatment services for persons demonstrating persistently dangerous behaviors and ongoing impairment in social functioning in daily living skills due to mental illness. Many of these persons are admitted under the criminal court statute as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.

Provides Government Subsidized Prescription Drug Benefits - MoRx: coordinates benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program and provides additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need.

Provides advocacy services to adults with a mental and/or behavioral illness.

Breast & Cervical Cancer Program: Provides pelvic exams and pap tests for women who meet program guidelines.

The HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine is provided free of charge to girls and women ages 9-26 not covered by adequate insurance or who do not qualify for Missouri's free Vaccines For Children (VFC) program.

Assistance with applying for benefits and services, including Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and discounted license plate sticker program. Referrals to other community partners for assistance when applicable.
