Counseling can help anyone facing challenges in their lives such as reactions to trauma, depression, anxiety, poor educational success for our children, children demonstrating unusual behavior, and marriage conflict.

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), a trained community volunteer, is appointed by circuit court judges to speak for the best interests of children who are brought before the court for reasons of abuse and/or neglect.

Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service.

Provides Job interviewing training to prepare individuals for job interviews.

The Macon County Community Volunteer Corps is a group dedicated to emergency response to a public health emergency. The CVC is affiliated with the Macon County Health Department, and trains and exercises for mass vaccinations during a public health outbreak, assists with public health education, and partners with the Red Cross for shelter training. The CVC screens volunteer applicants, provides training at no cost. With its affiliation with Macon County Health Department, the CVC provides volunteer opportunities at local and state levels.

Outpatient substance abuse counseling is available including day treatment. Outpatient services for adolescents is provided. Length of stay is based on progress.

Responsible for coordinating governmental offices during natural and man-made disasters. Also, operates an emergency communication center to alert public of hazards.

Individuals or families needing to place their child(ren) into foster care should contact the office to discuss options. Also receives and reviews applications for families who would like to adopt or foster a child(ren)

Senior Center offers activities and provides programs to enrich the physical, social, and emotional well being of it participants.

Provides pap tests to women.

Accepts a wide variety of donations that are not in need of repair; donations are not sold as a way to earn money for the program; Mon-Fri donation pick-up service can usually be arranged within 1-2 days by calling (417) 781-0352.

Offers hair, saliva, oral fluid-based, and urine drug testing.
