Provides free legal representation to low income clients in a number of civil legal problems; criminal defense representation is not provided; they handle cases involving public benefits, housing, unemployment compensation, family, consumer, education, employment, health and other matters.

Provides electric service payment assistance.

Provides general library services, including programs for children and adults, books, cd's, videos and movie loans, a genealogy program and materials are also available.

Conducts home-studies to determine the suitability of couples as adoptive parents, children are placed with agency approved families, assists with private adoptions, international adoptions and the placement of older children.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Health screenings are provided for the following: Cardiovascular, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV, Diabetes, Lead, and tuberculosis. Other screenings available upon request.

Provides cooling center in extreme heat emergencies

Offers annual physical examinations, insurance physical examinations, Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations and Workers Compensation physical examinations and treatment.

Provides aid to victims of minor and major disasters, including home fires. The Chapter meets disaster-caused immediate needs for food, shelter, clothing and referral to additional services to meet further needs.
