The ICAN Community Services Children's Program is located in their main office building. These services are designed to enhance social experience, communication skills, and provide developmental activities for children with Developmental Disabilities after school in a group or individual setting. Children make and learn to maintain new friendships, practice and learn important social skills, daily living skills, interact in sharing, taking turns, communicating positively with others, working on age and developmentally appropriate tasks of greater independence.

Social Skills Groups: Specialized groups are offered to provide opportunities for social interactions through activities.

Provides social skill training in both group settings, or one on one.

Helps individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder by providing support through community social opportunities and independent living skills.

• Program for Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS): A 14-week group session in which teens with autism spectrum disorder are taught important social skills and given the opportunity to practice skills through activities such as sports and board games. Parents also participate and learn how to assist their teen in making and keeping friends.

• Children's Friendship Training: A 12 session social skills program designed for high functioning children with autism spectrum disorder in first through fifth grades. Children learn a new social skill each week and parents learn to support and assist their child's social development.

• PEERS for Adults: Sessions are geared towards participants over 18 with autism spectrum disorder in which participants are taught important social skills and given opportunities to practice those skills.

Provides direct instruction in a group setting to children and/or adults. Areas specifically addressed are based on the individual but may include building and enhancing social skills, communication and positive behavior strategies.

Social Skills Training (PEERS): A 14-week program designed for teens and their parents to participate in together. The program help teens with autism develop social skills, build self-esteem and increase their independence.

Offers a variety of in-person and online skill building and social programs.
