(EMAA), is a community action agency that provides; weatherization programs, home rehabilitation programs, rent payment assistance, air conditioners, electric service payment assistance, gas service payment assistance, heating fuel payment assistance, and life skills education.

East Missouri Action Agency, Inc. (EMAA), is a non-profit community action agency established in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act. We serve low-income people in the Missouri counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Perry, St. Francois, Ste Genevieve and Washington. We provide direct assistance, family development and community engagement services through Community Services, Women's Wellness, Head Start, and Housing programs. Our board of directors is comprised of representatives from the public, private and low-income communities.
