Southeast Missouri Transportation Service, Inc. (SMTS) provides transportation services in 21 counties in Southeast Missouri. Types of transportation services provided include door-to-door demand response, public transit, paratransit, bus service, wheelchair-accessible transportation, Medicaid transportation, and non-emergency medical transportation. Transportation provided by SMTS gives riders access to primary care services, preventative care services, dialysis centers, doctors' appointments, medical appointments, nutrition centers, senior centers, sheltered workshops, grocery stores, shopping centers, and other goods and services.

SMTS, Inc. is an approved Medicaid provider which is utilized by various sheltered workshops, Area Agencies on Aging, JARC programs, community treatment centers, nursing homes, and other non-emergency care providers.
